Utrecht, Oct. 2, 2025 - The cosmetics brand Meroda Cosmetics, founded by entrepreneur Melvin van Bueren, has been named the fastest international grower in this year's prestigious CrossBorder Top 30. The annual list, compiled by Dexport in cooperation with Twinkle, charts the Dutch e-commerce companies making the biggest moves across borders.
During the CrossBorder Event at event venue DeFabrique, Utrecht, Meroda Cosmetics accepted the CrossBorder Award for number one. The company left competitors such as Toelevering Online (2nd) and giftcards.group (3rd) behind. Other strong risers this year include CloudPillo (4th) and NotBranded (5th). NotBranded was the 2024 winner.
Meroda Cosmetics is pushing hard internationally with innovative makeup and personal care products. The brand recently appeared in Quote, where founder Melvin van Bueren told: "Sales are mainly through our own webshop and to a lesser extent through platforms such as Amazon. In 2025 we want to grow to 60 million euros in sales. This rapid growth comes mainly from abroad - Germany is already doing 15 to 18 million euros in the first year, and a lot of sales are also coming from the United Kingdom."
The CrossBorder Top 30, an initiative of German marketing specialist Dexport and initiator of the CrossBorder Top 30, is compiled annually to recognize the fastest growing Dutch online companies with international activities. Prerequisite for inclusion in the list is an international turnover of at least 100,000 euros. Previous winners include NotBranded and Stoov.
Germany remains key to growth
According to Andreas Giese, Meroda shows how important Germany is for Dutch e-commerce companies: "We see that brands that are serious about the German market are making the biggest international acceleration. Meroda is the prime example of this: in a short time they have developed into a European player to be reckoned with."
