We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior CrossBorder Business Developer who is ready to develop himself and help Dutch brands, retailers and webshop entrepreneurs to set up or expand their business abroad. As part of our team of specialists and partners you will play a key role in guiding inbound leads and supporting our customers and partners with all their needs. 

This position involves a combination of marketing consultancy, partner management and inside sales work. We train you to become a professional CrossBorder Business Developer where you act as a sparring partner and advisor for founders, CEOs, marketing managers, e-commerce managers. A next step is account manager where you are responsible for your own portfolio of various potential clients. Are you interested in learning about crossborder e-commerce and the different growth phases a company goes through when they want to start abroad? Then we would love to get to know you.

Responsibilities

  1. Follow up on website and phone inquiries and schedule appointments for account managers.
  2. Preparation and follow-up of quotations.
  3. Start up projects and monitor new customers (start-ups in Germany / at Dexport).
  4. Follow up with companies from our CRM that have expressed interest in partnering with Dexport.
  5. Hold digital meetings with companies looking to expand into Germany.
  6. Engage and collaborate with partners to achieve joint growth. 
  7. Provide support in creating content related to CrossBorder business.

What we ask of you

  1. Commercial attitude and drive
  2. HBO working and thinking level 
  3. Strong organizational and planning skills
  4. Experience with e-commerce and marketing is a plus
  5. Ability to separate main and secondary issues
  6. Enthusiasm and motivation to develop yourself and others
  7. Excellent command of the Dutch language 

This is what a workday looks like

Your day starts with a delicious cup of coffee, brewed with top quality Ethiopian beans in our fancy barista machine. You step into the office full of energy and immediately start working with your team to analyze those important KPIs. Is everything on track or do we need to adjust here and there? We don't get distracted by unnecessary peripheral issues. You know exactly what is important and where your attention should be focused.

After the meeting, you jump into a cool call with the owner of a big brand. The German market is lagging behind the Dutch market and you're there to help. Together you look for ways in which Dexport's expertise and experience can add value. Do you think Amazon can be a gamechanger for their business? Or should we bet on influencer marketing for a big boost? You brainstorm and see how Dexport's services fit perfectly with the needs of this potential client.

Then you arrange a meeting for the account managers and strategists so they can dive deeper into the matter. But wait, there is still something that needs to be done: the client's website is not quite ready for the German market. Translations are not yet in order, labels are missing and consumers cannot yet return products in Germany. No worries, you have the solution ready! You send a no-obligation quote with your brilliant ideas for tackling these obstacles and leading the client to success.
