Are you a driven and commercially-minded individual? Are you looking for a challenging role where teamwork is key? Then we’re looking for you!  We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Cross-Border Business Developer who is ready to develop their skills and help Dutch brands, retailers, and e-commerce entrepreneurs set up or expand their businesses abroad. As part of our team of specialists and partners, you will play a key role in guiding inbound leads and supporting our clients and partners with all their needs.  This role involves a combination of telephone consulting, partner management, and back-office tasks. We will train you to become a professional CrossBorder Business Developer, where you will act as a sparring partner and advisor to founders, CEOs, marketing managers, and e-commerce managers.

How can you continue to grow?

There are two ways to grow. The first option is to be responsible for your own portfolio of various potential clients as an account manager. The second option is to lead a team of sales colleagues who schedule appointments for our account managers.

Are you interested in learning about crossborder e-commerce and the different growth stages a company goes through when they want to start abroad? Then we would love to get to know you.

What might your day look like?

Your day starts with a delicious cup of coffee, brewed with top quality Ethiopian beans in our fancy barista machine. You step into the office full of energy and get right to work with your team analyzing commercial opportunities of the day. Which requests will you follow up on or is the priority to approach potential clients for an introductory meeting? You know exactly what is important and where your attention should be focused.

After the meeting, you jump into a cool call with the owner of a big brand. The German market is lagging behind the Dutch market and you're there to help. Together you look for ways in which Dexport's expertise and experience can add value. Do you think Amazon can be a gamechanger for their business? Or should we bet on influencer marketing for a big boost? You brainstorm and see how Dexport's services fit perfectly with the needs of this potential client.

Then you arrange a meeting for the account managers and strategists so they can dive deeper into the matter. But wait, there is still something that needs to be done: the client's website is not quite ready for the German market. Translations are not yet in order, labels are missing and consumers cannot yet return products in Germany. No worries, you have the solution ready! You send a no-obligation quote with your brilliant ideas for tackling these obstacles and leading the client to success.

With your strategic insight, fluent communication skills and problem-solving mindset, you are the go-to person for any challenge. Responsibilities

  • Following up on inquiries received via the website and by phone, and scheduling appointments for account managers.
  • Preparation and follow-up of quotations.
  • Start up projects and monitor new customers (start-ups in Germany / at Dexport).
  • Follow up with companies from our CRM that have expressed interest in partnering with Dexport.
  • Hold digital meetings with companies looking to expand into Germany.
  • Engage and collaborate with partners to achieve joint growth.
  • Provide support in creating content related to CrossBorder business.
