Stylish GIMBER makes organic ginger concentrate to drink pure or mixed with water or other beverages. Originally a Belgian company, Gimber now sells their products throughout Europe. They do so offline through delis and organic stores and, since 2021, online through the Amazon Marketplace.
In early 2021, GIMBER wanted to start selling through Amazon. Resellers were already selling GIMBER products through Amazon, but did so without a brand story and matching photos. To give a strong answer to that, GIMBER wanted to set up a complete online store itself within Amazon and grow internationally.
Successful growth on Amazon requires a strong foundation and a smart strategy. For GIMBER, we focused on visibility, brand experience, and international growth. Below, you can read how we leveraged product listings, content, and advertising to successfully scale the brand across Europe and on Amazon.
To get started on Amazon, it is important to get the basics right. Too often we see products that are hardly or not fully online. We made sure that the entire assortment came online on Amazon. All products were provided with the correct EAN numbers, the SKUs, titles, descriptions and variations.
The next step was to ensure that Gimber had a visible presence across all areas of Amazon through advertising. We worked together to develop a suitable advertising strategy. The focus was primarily on the brand name and specific categories, such as syrup and ginger.
By implementing the right strategy, we garnered positive reviews—which are crucial on Amazon—and won the Buy Box. Once sales were picking up, we expanded the strategy to other European countries, including France, Spain, Italy, and the United Kingdom. For each country, we set up a complete online store, along with A+ content and a brand story.
Currently, Gimber operates in more than 5 countries and Amazon has now become a serious revenue source and we can proudly say that this is a successful launch on Amazon.
